Like A Daisy In February

daisy penastory

If I regret anything, it’d be just one thing

The innocent soul you crave since childhood

6 foot 3 with firm broad chest

Pure super hero grabbing you before you say set

But the truth is I’m just a mere dude

Standing 5 foot 7 with ill attitude

And I’ve lived long enough to see

You will never be craving me

Oh, I watched you go

After you planted your love in the top soil

And from the top soil, a Daisy bloomed

It survived February but died in May

If I would write the way I feel outside

I’d seem happy and sad at the same damn time

The smile you put on, at that ball

Twas the prettiest mask you ever wore

From the top soil, a Daisy bloomed

It survived February but died in May

Oh, I watched you go again
