Woman; The Thoughts Of A Poet – MASETOP

woman penastory

Don’t blame her for pretence because

Life has forced her to be an actress

Smile when all she had to do was cry

Her heart’s been broken many a times

yet keeps the hope of loving again

You castigate her for having a love for attention

Ain’t that what attracted you?

Calling her a squanderer for spending on clothes and shoes, high priced wigs and expensive make ups

I thought you loved a classy woman?

She ain’t gonna look classy without an à la mode look on

You complain she’s shallow

But life’s is a bitch and its disappointment has left her hollow

She never relents in her struggle in picking yours over hers

Always caring about your opinions

Yet you complain only about the one time she got it wrong

She sleeps with tears in her eyes and hurt in her heart

Yet she wakes and does it right

Stays strong never letting your preferences out of sight.

She’s a WOMAN

To whom little is given but much is expected

Yet she strives to meet all demands

A daughter, sister, girlfriend, wife, mother,  and a confidant

She seems the hardest to understand

Yet the simplest to be read

All you need do is see through her eyes

Look in through the window to her soul

And

Do right by her
