Wake and Leap

The man on the throne is a big nothing; he’s but a man,
The righteous run to him and still come to harm,
Even he ended worse called the wisest man who ever lived,
Black black black sheep when will you learn and leap?

To him that’s hungry even the bitter tastes sweet
Thou hath loved they keep telling you – your dream
The dogs haven’t eaten; yet they were told the same
You have been lied to, fools will not make the team

Wake up! The world buys and sells at the same market
Yet you keep pouring into the same old and long basket
I’m tired of your namby-pamby politics and ossified ignorance
Take my bones with you when you’re ready for the promised land
