We lay unmoving
The cold floor chilling  body parts
Blood and bones and sinew scattered all over the place
In tiny parts
like shattered glass
Somehow we had ended up here again
Like a clock with dead batteries
Never completely going round
Just ticking forward and back
Stuck forever in a never-ending pattern
In limbo
The walls are dangerously high
“It is madness to try to climb them”
They told us
But nothing can stop us
Not even our resolve to stop
This was our fate
I am poison to your blood
You are dagger to my flesh
But we are two fractured hearts that just somehow fit
Mad is what we are
Stark raving mad
Trying, over and over, to go up this wall of thorns
Thorns built from our words
And so we fell into Humpty’s pattern
You are my Kingsman
And I am yours
And we will not fail each other like they failed Humpty
Tonight we would put out pieces together
And tomorrow, begin again

About PenAStory

PenAStory is a group of young individuals with a passion for literature who have decided to come together to write under one platform. We seek to educate, inform as well as entertain our readers. Also, because we are targeting young literature lovers, we would like to touch on other interests of their lives hence the relationship category and because we all need a bit of motivation in our lives, we decided inspiration won't be so bad
