There’s just one call from my heart –
Sing me a ballad in its aesthetic art
That slow sultry rebuke as an act
To the lady who broke my heart
Its lyrics are so dark as an art
It pulls me into a world apart

       Sing me the song
The one you’ve repeatedly sung
Sing me the song
The one I listen to at night in bed
Sing me the song
The one I’ve tirelessly heard
Sing me the song
The one whose lyrics resides in my head
Sing me the song
The one whose Soul genre is sorrowful
Sing me the song
The one whose tone is melancholic
Sing me the song
The one whose rhythm depicts sadness
Sing me the song
The one whose melody is depressive
Sing me the song
The one meant for me
My song, our song
The essence of our acquaintance

The bargaining stage of grief to depression
That stage hit me hard like punches.
I hit the bottles
The high couldn’t topple the bottles
I hit the coke
To shield me from the pain like a cloak
Self-pity, remorse, regret – some deep ass joke
Visibly raw, gut wrenching emotions – one could poke.
