On last week’s edition of Tell Tale Thursday, Helen shared with us how she finds herself getting irritated with her boyfriends after some time and do not want to be with them any longer and she is scared she might chase away the right person for her. If you missed that, read it HERE.
Find below our in house perspective on the issue:
Hello Helen! This issue, I believe, is deeply psychological. Your attitude towards your current boyfriend may be born out of the disappointments you experienced in your previous relationships. It is obvious that you’re not putting your all in this current relationship just as you said you did in your previous relationships. This reveals that the fear of disappointment may be the reason for your mood swings. That is one point though. Another possible factor to consider is you may be irritated towards something else completely different from your relationship life that tends to sip into your relationship too. What do I mean? You may have to check for some aspects of your life that you’re frustrated at, it could be your job, your career or just something else. It’s highly possible that the frustration from your job could affect your disposition towards your relationship life.
What then are you to do? Exercise self-control, realize that you can control your emotions and not let them control you. If you’re frustrated with your current relationship, dissolve it. If it’s just the fear of losing Mr. Perfect, then deal with it. Weigh your actions. There isn’t just one good guy in all the world, however, good guys are hard to find these days. So my advise to you is to examine all aspects of your life and see if there is any that you’re frustrated with. Then also deal with your emotions and handle them maturely.
