In The Name Of The Almighty – SEYITAN ELISHA

Evil reside in the heart of men

so says the holy book

sometimes I wonder

where it may lead me to

heaven or hell

The heart of man is desperately wicked

I am a witness

a carrier of these words

if thoughts were given a chance

if thoughts could speak for itself

if thoughts could take actions according to its thinking

the world would be left in a conundrum

Is thought not hidden beneath ideology?

that gives birth to various inhuman sentiments

is it not the distance arm of thoughts

that makes a friend a perfect stranger?

Where is the spirit of Ubuntu

“Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu”

is it not thoughts in unison

with the whiteman’s machine

that rips out the heart of fellow men

Gboa, I kill in the name of the Almighty

less mighty is the almighty

that requires the might of man

to fight creation

No religion is greater than mine

You go my way or you lose your way

is religion not meant to preach peace

is God’s love not so gracious

that a son was given

Alas man as lost the reverberating echoes of this word

using religion to dehumanize and individualize the world

The evil that men think surely has a hold
when a breeding ground exist
