Colour – OZIOMA OKAFOR

I was like that black and white picture hung on the wall

Devoid of colour but contented with my loneliness

Then you came along

And brought colour to my life

I was all shades of bright

And happy with my new-found beauty

Then you left just as you came

Without notice, without reason

Where did I go wrong?

I thought we made a perfect match

So once again I am that black and white picture

Devoid of colour but longing for it

Filled with memories of you

Hoping someday another would come along

And bring colour back to my life.

About PenAStory

PenAStory is a group of young individuals with a passion for literature who have decided to come together to write under one platform. We seek to educate, inform as well as entertain our readers. Also, because we are targeting young literature lovers, we would like to touch on other interests of their lives hence the relationship category and because we all need a bit of motivation in our lives, we decided inspiration won't be so bad
